Wild Dyes and Earth Medicine

In this earthen arts workshop Wild Dyes and Earth Medicine we will make non-toxic wild dyes and mordants, discuss the importance of botanical identification and sustainable harvesting, and practice connecting to nature with our hearts through listening and meditation with the plants.

Each student will leave the class with a botanically dyed silk scarf that we've dyed in class, a set of digital notes about plant identification and creating wild dyes, an earth meditation to practice, and a copy of the ecological, medicinal, energetic, and spiritual aspects of the plants we've used in our dye projects with space for written reflection and additional info.

Wild Dyes and Earth Medicine will be led by Mattie Morton
